  • At last night’s school committee meeting, the committee considered changing the school starting times this fall.  The action was delayed until the May 8th, 2018 school committee meeting to allow ample notice be given to the community about the proposed changes. The proposed change would bring the school start time to what they were originally, prior to the change in RHS starting time, and the school days being considered are:

                Rogers High School                   7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

                Thompson Middle School           8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

                Pell Elementary School              8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

These changes will be considered for approval at the May 8th, 2018 school committee meeting.  If you have concerns or questions about the new school starting times, please reach out to your school committee members or the Superintendent of Schools.

Month of the Military Child: April is the month of the Military Child and Pell School is lucky to have an amazing military community due to the presence of  Naval War College in Newport. We are very proud to have these students attend our school and truly value and appreciate the culture they bring with them, whether it is from other countries or other states.  We wish to celebrate these students and their families for the sacrifices they have made by wearing purple on April 25. We will be extending our "gratitude project wall" for students and staff to share their appreciation for members of our military on a post-it and stick it to the wall.  Check it out in the cafeteria!!
