Attendance Matters: Our overall goal for the year is to have 95% of students in school every day, throughout the year. If your child is ill, by all means keep them home until they are well, but otherwise, please help us reach our goal! Today’s attendance is 93.2% so 57 students were absent today.

Music & Matisse Art Showcase: TONIGHT from 6-7:30pm. Art showcase is open all evening and Concert starts at 6:30m. Come join the Pell School for the second annual “Combined Art Show & strings Concert Showcase.” With Art Teachers Mrs Sheehan and Mrs Lague. And Strings music conductor Mr. McEneaney. Budget Workshop: The School Committee will be holding a budget workshop to review the draft 2020 budget on Tuesday, March 26 at 6 PM in NACTC Room 900.

Whooo’s Reading Update: If you have not checked out Whooo's Reading? with your child yet, please do! This program gets our students soooo excited about reading!  Your child can log in online or you can download the app for your phone.

This program is also an easy way to raise money to support all of our end of the year activities at Pell --- and no donation is too small!  If each child at Pell raised just $15, we would be well on our way to meeting our fundraising goal of $15,000. Please encourage friends and family members to sponsor your young reader.

PTO Chipotle Fundraiser: Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a fundraiser to support the Pell Elementary School PTO. Come into the Chipotle at 11 East Main Rd, Middletown, on Tuesday April 2nd between 5 and 9pm. Bring and show the flyer (coming home with students) or on your smartphone (posted on the Pell PTO facebook page) or even tell the cashier you are supporting the cause and to make sure that 33% of your purchase is donated to the Pell PTO.

Pennies for Patients: Pell School is participating in  Pennies for Patients, a critical service learning program that helps raise critical funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), the world’s largest nonprofit fighting blood cancer. Did you know that breakthroughs in blood cancer research are now being applied to other kinds of cancers and serious diseases? By participating in Pennies for Patients, schools like ours receive an exclusive STEM curriculum, which teaches students the foundational skills in STEM concepts and gives the, a look at real LLS-funded scientists.Through Pennies for Patients Pell School can earn gift cards for supplies and your child earns fun thank-you gifts to remind them of the Honored Heroes they are helping through their fundraising efforts. Information and your child’s personal collection bank will be coming home in the next few days. There is also info on making donations online. Please help us reach our $5000 goal!!!

RIPTA Bus Survey: Do you wish there was bus service directly to Rogers High School in the mornings and afternoon, for those who have no way to get there? Long time residents might remember the buses which brought beach goers directly to the beaches and back to the visitors' center during the summer months. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to have buses take us to the beaches again?

Will you help by filling out this  2 minute survey? Newport Working Cities and the Newport Health Equity Zone will share with RIPTA what families in Newport need for bus service in Newport and Middletown!

Newport Working Cities and the Health Equity Zone are working together to bring improvements in getting around to areas in the city that have limited or no access to public transportation. The overall results will be sent to RIPTA and the public in April.

Surveyworks Family Survey: We NEED your input!! SurveyWorks! Let Your Voice Be Heard!
