 Thompson students have the option to play in the orchestra in grades 5-8. Students may choose to play either violin, viola, cello, or bass. Students need to rent an instrument, own an instrument, or borrow a school instrument in order to participate. 

Students should bring their instrument, music book, and music folder to every class! 

 Advanced Orchestra: Students in grades 6-8 who have been playing their instrument for at least 1 full school year. 

Monday and Wednesday during period 1

Beginner Orchestra: Students in grade 5 who began playing an instrument at the elementary level, or students in grades 5-8 who have no experience playing a string instrument.

Tuesday and Friday during period 1
