Welcome Stephanie Winslow!

Stephanie Winslow was appointed to the Newport School Committee on March 11, 2020, by the Newport City Council, filling the seat vacated by Kathleen M. Silvia. She is a lifelong Newport resident and civic-minded North End homeowner.

Winslow is employed as a SQL developer at Magellan Rx Management in Middletown. She previously held similar positions at Citizen’s Bank in Johnston and was the operations manager of Comptoir de Famille LLC, a French home décor company formerly based in Newport. She also taught English in France and speaks French fluently.

In 1999, Winslow graduated third in her class from Rogers High School, where she was a regular finalist in the Rhode Island Music Education Association’s All-State and Solo & Ensemble Festivals. She subsequently earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Boston University and a computer programming certificate from the Community College of Rhode Island.

Winslow is an avid swimmer and active member of U.S. Masters Swimming.
