■ The Glow Dance is this Saturday, April 28th. It will run from 7-10 in the Gym. Come and enjoy the last informal dance of the year. Tickets will be $ 10.00 and are on sale during lunch or see any senior class officer.
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
■ NHS (Class of 2018): Part two of your required group service project will take place this Wednesday, April 25th from 3-5pm in Ms. Chella's art room (room 404). Be sure to bring your signed contract with you.
■ NHS (Class of 2019): Our next meeting is this Wednesday, April 25th in room 106 starting at 2:50 pm.
■ YEARBOOKS ARE ON SALE NOW! Order your yearbook now for $60. The deadline is May 8th. Please see Mr. Connell (room 306), Mrs. Kimes (room 106) or Jane Leys to purchase your yearbook. Please make checks out to Rogers High School and write yearbook/Binnacle in the memo line.
NEWPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL
■ Newport Community School will run in the cafeteria today after school. Transportation home at 4:15 pm.
■There will be yoga, art club, and manicure Monday's today. Check into the library first.
■ Reminder there are two senior project presentations today after school, be in the library by 3 pm.
DRIVERS EDUCATION CLASS
■ Newport County Driving School is offering driver’s education classes and the next one starts May 31st. Stop by the main office for a registration packet.
■ Seniors project presentations will be held next Thursday, May 3rd starting at 3 pm. More information will be shared during your English classes today and tomorrow. If you have any questions please see Ms. Dugan.

■ At Middletown yesterday the softball team behind another strong shutout pitching performance from Caeli Palmer blanked the rival Islanders 12-0 in 5 innings. Today at home the girls will host Narragansett at 4 pm.
■ Yesterday the golf team lost to Bay View by a 171 to 216 margin. Ben Pratt posted the low score for Rogers.
■ Boys track remained undefeated winning all three dual meets in Barrington yesterday afternoon. Defeating the host Eagles, Middletown and St. Patrick's. The overall winners were Grames Clougher in the 400 and 800 and he teamed with Nyrell Lockhart, Angelo Cuevas and Edwin Peru to take the 4x400 relay. Edward Garafalo won the High Jump and Triple jump; Colton Kenny won the shot put; Brian Neal won the hammer; Sam Bond won the discus; Lorenzo Olsen-Sherman won the pole vault;and Ian Hall won the Javelin.
■ The girls track team was also successful defeating Middletown, Bay View, St. Patrick while succumbing to Barrington. In the field events Jianna Peno had strong performances, placing 1st in the shot put, javelin and discus. Jianna placed 3rd in the hammer. Katrielle Hayes finished 3rd in the shot put and discus. Kristina Copeland placed 2nd in the long jump. On the track K'yana Howard placed 2nd in the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. The 4x100 meter relay team of Monique Allen, Kiara Butler, Zahria Evans, and K'yana Howard took the 3rd place spot.
■ Today our lacrosse teams will be on the road; girls varsity and JVs visit Toll Gate while the boys head to Johnston. Baseball will also take their perfect record on the road to North Smithfield.
■Today the Fitness Center will be closed to individuals. No trainer or supervision is available.
