GLOW DANCE

■ The Glow Dance is this Saturday, April 28th. It will run from 7-10 in the Gym. Come and enjoy the last informal dance of the year. Tickets will be $ 10.00 and are on sale during lunch or see any senior class officer.

YEARBOOK

■ YEARBOOKS ARE ON SALE NOW!  Order your yearbook now for $60.  The deadline is May 8th.  Please see Mr. Connell (room 306), Mrs. Kimes (room 106) or Jane Leys to purchase your yearbook.  Please make checks out to Rogers High School and write yearbook/Binnacle in the memo line.

NEWPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL

■ Newport community school will run in the library today. Students participating in dance after school - please check into the library first. 

DRIVERS EDUCATION CLASS

■ Newport County Driving School is offering driver’s education classes and the next one starts May 31st.  Stop by the main office for a registration packet.

SENIORS

■ Senior project presentation sign-ups have begun! See Ms. Dugan if you have any questions. 

■ Interested in attending CCRI next fall? Come today, Thursday, April 26th at 9:45 am and meet the admissions officer Deborah Watson from CCRI’s Newport Campus!

SPORTS

■ Unified basketball needed overtime to defeat Portsmouth, 54-51, yesterday afternoon! Shaun Perez and Jakob McCallister led the Viking offensive attack. Katherine Warner, Lillian Ratcliff, Jamel Wills, Jordan Bothelho and Forrest Ficke all contributed with baskets of their own. 

■ Tuesday in Johnston the boys lacrosse added another win to their total taking down the Panthers 15-2. Olin Martin, Wil Martins all Riley Cranson tallied goals while the goalie combination of Nick Klassner and John Nunes stopped multiple shots.

■This afternoon there is a full slate of activities. The track teams will be in Portsmouth, softball in North Smithfield, baseball at Cardines, golf at the Newport Country Club and girls lacrosse at Ft. Adams.
