■ YEARBOOKS ARE ON SALE NOW!  Order your yearbook now for $60.  The deadline is May 8th.  Please see Mr. Connell (room 306), Mrs. Kimes (room 106) or Jane Leys to purchase your yearbook.  Please make checks out to Rogers High School and write yearbook/Binnacle in the memo line.


■ Seniors - presentations for senior project are this Thursday. There are still sign up spaces available! Please sign up today! Any questions please see Ms. Dugan in the NCS office. 


■ This Thursday, May 3rd Bristol Community College will be visiting to share information with interested students. BCC is both an affordable and supportive opportunity. Please see Miss D if you are interested! 


■  Newport Community School will run in the library today.  Come get your homework done! Students participating in art, manicure Mondays and yoga with Miss D please check into the library first. There is no transition to college today. 


■ The Rogers Athletic Boosters will be holding their May meeting this Wednesday at 6 pm. Please enter the gym entrance doors. Agenda items include the Senior Sports Awards banquet and scholarships.


■ Softball posted another shutout win Saturday, 10-0 over Ponaganset. Shannon Ward earned the win and was helped at the plate by Phoebe MacDonald, Ayla Newsome, Kenzie Palmer, Michaela Mathews and Danielle Savage.

■ At the track and field Classical Classic there were no team scores but the Vikings had many of the top performers. Ian Hall won the javelin and Edward Garafalo won the triple jump. Ty Mederios placed 3rd in the triple jump and Khalil Woodlyn was 4th in the pole vault. Colton Kenney finished 6th in both the discus and the shot put, and Nyrell Lockhart was 4th in the 400. Both the 4x100 relay (Lockhart, Laraib Iqbal, Osiris Parra & Eldwin Peru) and 4x400 relay (Graeme Clougher, Lockhart, Peru, Parra) teams finished 3rd on the day. Brian Neal had another big day qualifying for nationals in the Hammer throw! 

■ Girls Outdoor Track & Field will be meeting after school before practice in room 813. All girls need to come to the meeting first and change for practice afterward.

■ This afternoon the golf team travels to Seekonk Country Club to shoot with Mt. Hope and Middletown. Baseball heads to Providence to challenge the Paul Cuffee School.
