BOOSTERS

■ The Rogers Athletic Boosters will be holding their May meeting tomorrow, Wednesday at 6 pm. Please enter the gym entrance doors. Agenda items include the Senior Sports Awards banquet and scholarships.

NEWPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL

■ Newport Community School will be held in the library today after school. Come get your homework and makeup work done. 

SENIORS

■ SENIORS: there are still presentation slots available for this Thursday! All seniors are expected to present. See Ms. Dugan if you have any questions. 

COLLEGE ADVISOR

■ This Thursday, May 3rd Bristol Community College will be visiting to share information with interested students. BCC is both an affordable and supportive opportunity. Please see Miss D if you are interested! 

HISTORY DAY CHAMPS

■ Congratulations to RHS students who earned awards at the state championships...

Ezra Monteiro - 3rd place individual exhibit, Josephine Carwile-Ridnour and Jordan Miner - 3rd place group exhibit, AnnaKate Murphy - 2nd place individual documentary, Eliza Taylor & Tyler Miller 1st place group documentary, and Ryan Collum - 1st place individual performance. On to the Nationals!!!

SPORTS

■ Baseball eclipsed last years' win total upping their record to 9-1 after defeating Paul Cuffee School 6-1 yesterday in Providence. Hunter Hansen, Wyn Connelly and Ryan Crowley all pitched well for Rogers. Michael Weaver and Liam Marvelle had timely hits driving in runs.

■ The golf team yesterday swept their two matches at Seekonk Country Club defeating Middletown and Mt. Hope. The top four Vikings were Ben Pratt, Niall Walsh, Matt Spring and Nick Klassner.

■  This afternoon sailing heads over the bridges to take on East Greenwich.

■ Today the Vikings hit the road with seven of our teams traveling. You can catch softball at Portsmouth or listen to them live on WADK 1540 AM or online at wadk.com. In Middletown our boys and girls track & field teams will be competing, boys lacrosse visits Toll Gate High School while the girls lacrosse team heads to Burrillville.

■ Best of luck to our Unified Basketball team this afternoon in South Kingstown. Today they begin their playoffs with a 3:30 tilt against the Rebels.

■ This Rick Hole Fitness Center will be closed after school today. No supervision is available.
