THEATRE COMPANY

■ The Rogers High School Theatre Company is excited to announce its spring musical production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. This family-friendly musical has been adapted for the stage from the beloved Disney film. It features everyone’s favorite songs from the animated movie and a few new ones as well. The show will feature the students and faculty of Rogers High School, so come out and support your fellow students, your teachers and the performing Arts of Rogers High School!

The Little Mermaid will be performed on Friday, May 11th at 7 pm and on Saturday, May 12th at 2 pm and 7 pm in the Rogers High School Auditorium.  Tickets will be available at the door, $10 general admission & $5 for students.

ROBOTICS TEAM

The Robotics team will be having a Spaghetti Dinner at Sardellas Restaurant on Memorial Boulevard this Sunday, May 6th from 4 till 7 pm. Tickets available from team members, Mr. Dickison, and at the door. Please come and support the team for their trip to the National Competition this June. 

SENIORS

■ Senior project presentations will be held after school today. Seniors who are presenting at 3 pm please be at your presentation room following dismissal to set up. Students presenting at 325 and 345 please be outside your room 5-10 minutes early. If you have any questions please see Ms. Dugan. There will be a bus home at 415. The library will be open for seniors this afternoon. 

CLASS OF 2019

■ The Class of 2019 is having a fundraiser at Chipotle this Saturday, May 5th, from 4-8 pm. If you mention this announcement, bring the flyer or show it on your phone, 50% of the proceeds will go to support the class. Please head to Chipotle and get your Cinco de Mayo burrito to support the Class of 2019. 

COLLEGE ADVISOR

■ Bristol Community College will be visiting today to share information with interested students. BCC is both an affordable and supportive opportunity. Please see Miss D if you are interested! 

YEARBOOK

■ YEARBOOKS ARE ON SALE NOW!  Order your yearbook now for $60.  The deadline is this Friday, May 8th.  Please see Mr. Connell (room 306), Mrs. Kimes (room 106) or Jane Leys to purchase your yearbook.  Please make checks out to Rogers High School and write yearbook/Binnacle in the memo line.

SPORTS

■ Baseball made quick work of Times Squared Academy winning in 5 innings to raise their record to 10-1!

■Softball on Tuesday took down Portsmouth 7-2. Shannon Ward was the winning pitcher and also jacked a 2-run home run. Jaime Ward, MacKenzie Palmer, Ani Murphy also had a good day at the plate. Yesterday, however, the team ran into a buzz-saw and was shutout, 10-0, by Prout.

■Golf received another low round from Ben Pratt but it was not enough as the Vikings were defeated by Portsmouth and Tiverton.

■Today be certain to wish our Unified basketball players 'good luck' as they will head to East Providence to take on the Townies in a semi-final playoff game!

■Girls lacrosse is in action and will play at North Smithfield this evening at 5 pm.
