SPORTS

■ Unified basketball had their season come to an end yesterday in the divisional semifinals with a 47-43 loss to East Providence. Shaun Perez's sharp shooting and Davon Antone's clutch baskets produced a second-half run that erased a 10 point halftime deficit and gave the Vikings the lead in the final minutes. Jamel Wills started the second run with the opening basket! However, a couple of long-range East Providence shots gave the Townies the lead back for good. Katherine Warner also scored timely baskets to aid the team. Lillian Ratcliff, Jakob MacCallister and Forrest Ficke all played a solid game to help the Vikings. A huge 'thank you' to our other teammates who helped guide us through this season.

■ Girls lacrosse remains undefeated after posting an 18-8 road victory over North Smithfield. Jane Leys scored seven times while Emma Daignault and Liza Nunes netted four goals apiece. Faye Callahan and Bridget Murphy also contributed in the scoring. Tess Nunes made twenty-two stops in goal and received good defensive play in front of her from Olivia Nunes, Crystal Fuerte and Emma Leach. Tomorrow, at home, the girls will square off with Scituate at 2 pm. The JVs will follow at 3:30 pm.

■ Today baseball is at Classical for a monster divisional match-up and tomorrow evening will host Middletown in a non-league game at 6 pm.
