BEST BUDDIES

■ Best Buddies will be holding a candy jar raffle during all lunches starting today, May 8th until Tuesday, May 14th.  It's a dollar per guest and the winner will receive the jar of candy!  If you have any questions please see best buddies Ambassador Jamel Wills for more information.  Thank you!!

NEWPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL

■ Newport Community School will run in the library today. Academic recovery will run for the next two weeks, come get tour make up work done! Seniors: presentations will be held this Thursday after school, sign-ups are on the NCS door. See Ms. Dugan if you have any questions. 

THEATRE COMPANY

■ The Rogers High School Theatre Company is excited to announce its spring musical production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. This family-friendly musical has been adapted for the stage from the beloved Disney film. It features everyone’s favorite songs from the animated movie and a few new ones as well. The show will feature the students and faculty of Rogers High School, so come out and support your fellow students, your teachers and the performing Arts of Rogers High School!

The Little Mermaid will be performed on Friday, May 11th at 7 pm and on Saturday, May 12th at 2 pm and 7 pm in the Rogers High School Auditorium.  Tickets will be available at the door, $10 general admission & $5 for students.

SPORTS

■ The girls track & field team placed 6th overall in the Eastern Division Championship yesterday. Notable individual performances came from the field events and the 4x1 team. Jianna Peno finished 2nd in shot put, Katrielle Hayes followed closely in 3rd. Brielle Mosher came in 4th in the javelin. The 4x1 relay team of Ashante Gayle, Shaynese Butler, Zahria Evans, and Monique Allen finished 5th overall. Kristina Copeland performed well taking 6th place in the long jump and triple jump.  

■Today boys lacrosse is at Pilgrim, softball visits South Kingstown, golf is in East Providence, baseball hosts Shea and girls lacrosse is home versus Cranston West.
