NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

■ National Honor Society (Class of 2018)- FRIENDLY REMINDER:  there is a quick but important meeting after school today at 2:50 pm in room 106.

SENIORS

■ SENIORS, if you would like to announce your plans for next year at Senior Launch day whether they are plans for employment, military or 2/4 year colleges see Miss DeCollibus ASAP. Signs ups close Monday, May 14th

■ Seniors - if you are presenting today please come to the library immediately following dismissal.  Reminder - senior project is a graduation requirement, see Ms. Dugan to schedule your presentation.  

JUNIORS

■ Junior Prom tickets are now on sale. The prom with be held Friday, May 25th at Easton's Beach Rotunda. Ticket prices are $40 for Rogers juniors and $50 for any guests.  Please find the junior class officers at lunches to purchase your ticket today. The last day to purchase tickets is Monday, May 21st. 

NEWPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL

■ Newport Community School will run in the library - come get your homework or makeup work done!

BEST BUDDIES

■ Best Buddies will be holding a candy jar raffle during all lunches until May 14th.  It's a dollar per guest and the winner will receive the jar of candy!  If you have any questions please see best buddies Ambassador Jamel Wills for more information.  Thank you!!

THEATRE COMPANY

■ The Rogers High School Theatre Company is excited to announce its spring musical production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. This family-friendly musical has been adapted for the stage from the beloved Disney film. It features everyone’s favorite songs from the animated movie and a few new ones as well. The show will feature the students and faculty of Rogers High School, so come out and support your fellow students, your teachers and the performing Arts of Rogers High School!

The Little Mermaid will be performed this Friday, May 11th at 7 pm and Saturday, May 12th at 2 pm and 7 pm in the Rogers High School Auditorium.  Tickets will be available at the door, $10 general admission & $5 for students.

SPORTS

■ Boys Outdoor Track & Field went undefeated in the regular season and capped it off yesterday with the program's first Eastern Division title since 2004! The boys were able to compile 5 individual event victories and then used their team depth to overpower 12 other teams including runner-up LaSalle.

■ Golf dropped matches to Middletown and Portsmouth yesterday at Newport Country Club. Ben Pratt, Niall Walsh and Nick Klassner all posted rounds in the 40s for the Vikings.

■ Boys lacrosse enjoyed an easy victory over Tiverton, downing the Tigers 14-2.

■ Today baseball travels to Lincoln to play Davies. While at home the softball team hosts St. Ray's and girls lacrosse welcomes in Johnston. Both are 4 pm starts.

■Girls Track and Field will have a meeting before practice in room 813. All team members are expected to attend. Please come to room 813 before changing for practice.
