■ The Rogers Art and Music Departments are having their Spring Concert and Showcase this Thursday, May 17th, at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. It will feature students from Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Guitar, and Ukulele!  There will be artwork on display in the lobby from the art classes this semester as well!  Come out and support your fellow students and enjoy a night of exciting music and art!


■ SENIORS, if you would like to announce your plans for next year at Senior Launch day whether they are plans for employment, military or 2/4 year colleges see Miss DeCollibus ASAP. Signs ups close today!


■ Junior Prom tickets are now on sale. The prom with be held Friday, May 25th at Easton's Beach Rotunda. Ticket prices are $40 for Rogers juniors and $50 for any guests.  Please find the junior class officers at lunches to purchase your ticket today. The last day to purchase tickets is Monday, May 21st.


■ Dylan Stahl is our candy jar winner. Congratulations Dylan!! From Best Buddies Ambassador Jamel Wills 


■ Cheerleading try-outs for next fall will be held on Tuesday, May 29th and Thursday, May 31st from 6-8pm in the gym. All interested MUST attend both evenings! Participants should wear appropriate clothing, NO jeans or jewelry. The try-out is closed and not open to family, friends or other spectators. ■ Girls lacrosse walked away from the match of two undefeated teams as the victor, defeating Westerly 14-9! Jane Leys and Faye Callahan lead all scorers. Olivia Nunes, Emma Leach, and Crystal Fuerte played solid defense. The JVs lost to the Bulldogs as Grace Burgess scored the lone Rogers goal. This afternoon the girls are out on the road to take on Mt. St. Charles in varsity and JV action.

■ Softball was one hit and blanked 10-0 by Barrington yesterday afternoon. The Lady Vikings are now 9-5 in league play.

■ Boys Track at the St. Germain Invitational saw Ian hall win the javelin and Edward Garafalo the triple jump. There was a host of third place finishers for the Vikings; Brian Neal in hammer, Graeme Clougher in 800, Khalil Woodlynn in the pole vault and Ty Medeiros in the triple jump. Ty also placed 6th in long jump. Colton Kenney was 4th in shot and 5th in Discus. 

■ Boys lacrosse will host Cranston East 4 pm in their senior day game. Come cheer on the boys as they acknowledge the 11 seniors and their loved ones before the game.
