BLOOD DRIVE

■ On Wednesday, May 30th, RHS will be hosting a blood drive in memory of McKenzie Leno from 12 pm - 8 pm.  Sign-ups will be on Thursday, May 24th and Tuesday, May 29th in the cafeteria during all three lunches. Please see Mikayla Ventura or Brielle Mosher with any questions. 

VIKING PRESS NEWSPAPER

■ There will be a Viking Press Newspaper meeting today, Wednesday, May 23rd.  All are welcome to attend.  Contact Josephine with any questions.

SENIORS

■ Attention all seniors, if you have participated AND completed at least 1 sport season this year you will be invited to the 50th Annual Rogers Athletics Boosters Senior Sports Award dinner. First, please check your school email for a link to a google form to be filled out for your award. The form must be completed by next Tuesday, May 29th in order to receive an award.

■ Seniors:  The cost for the cap and gown is $30.00.  Payment may be made in cash or by check, payable to Rogers High School and brought to the main office. Payments are due by graduation rehearsal in June.

SPRING CONCERT AND SHOWCASE

■ The Rogers Art and Music Departments are having their Spring Concert and Showcase tomorrow, Thursday, May 24th, at 6:30 pm in the auditorium. It will feature students from Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Guitar, and Ukulele!  There will be artwork on display in the lobby from the art classes this semester as well!  Come out and support your fellow students and enjoy a night of exciting music and art!

SPORTS

■ Cheerleading try-outs for next Fall will be held on Tuesday, May 29th and Thursday, May 31st from 6-8pm in the gym. All interested MUST attend both evenings! Participants should wear appropriate clothing, NO jeans or jewelry. The try-out is closed and not open to family, friends or other spectators. ■ Girls lacrosse closed out the regular season yesterday with a victory over Mt. St. Charles. The win secured the playoff's top seed, program's first undefeated regular season and the school's first-ever regular season division title! Outstanding work ladies and congratulations you have put a new banner in the gym. Tomorrow let's come out and support these girls in their opening playoff game down on the field at 3:45 pm.

■Softball finished their season on a high note before jumping into the playoffs by dismissing East Greenwich 13-3. The underclassman did a fantastic job recognizing their senior teammates and loved ones in a pre-game ceremony. Thank you to Natalia, Meg, Caeli, Danielle and Katie!

■ This afternoon at Fort Adams come down to the docks and watch our sailing team in action as they compete in today's RI State Championship.

■ Today the freshman members of the boys' track & field team will compete at the 9th-grade state championships. Good luck guys!

 Baseball plays there final regular season today at Hope High School at 4:30. 

2018/19 RHS START TIMES

■ Effective September 2018, the new start times for RHS will be as follows:  Bell at 7:25 and classes 7:30 am to 2:00 pm.
