SENIORS
■ Senior Banquet is on Monday, June 11th, at the Hibernian Hall on Wellington Ave. from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Cost is $5.00 per person to defray the cost of the entertainment. The parents of the seniors are responsible for providing the food.  If you would like to help out by donating a dish or drinks please email Mardie Corcoran (Jane Leys' mom) at hotcoco22@cox.net, or get in touch with her by text or call at (401) 862-6256 as she is coordinating the food. Food can be dropped off at the Hibernian Hall on Monday anytime after 5:30 pm or your child can bring it with them. Let's make this a great night for the seniors. 

■ Senior prom tickets will be on sale during all three lunches from senior class officers. Tickets are eighteen dollars for members of the Class of 2018 and forty dollars for all others.

■ Seniors: The cost for the cap and gown is $30.00.  Payment may be made in cash or by check, payable to Rogers High School and brought to the main office.  Payments are due by graduation rehearsal.

SPORTS
■ At 5 pm this evening softball faces their first playoff elimination game versus Prout at RI College. Admission is $5.00.  Let's get out and support our girls!

■ Rogers qualified 13 track & field athletes for this weekend's New England Championships at the University of New Hampshire. Good luck to all of those competing!

■ Attention all members of the girl's lacrosse, girls swim and boys outdoor track & field teams!  You are being recognized next Tuesday, June 12th @ 6:30 pm at the Newport School Committee meeting at Pell School for your championship seasons. Please arrive at Pell by 6:20 and you can expect to be there for 45 minutes to 1 hour. 

■ A reminder to all seniors that by today your gym locker and any outstanding team uniform or equipment should have been turned in. Your graduation tickets will be held until ALL is turned in or paid for!

CAREER COORDINATOR UPDATE 
Summer Horticulture Job Program (deadline June 14)
Qualifications: 
•    Successful completion of the Horticulture class
•    Honest, hard-working and eager to learn 
•    Complete a short in-person interview (usually during the school day)
•    Available in July & August (schedule is based on student & placement)

Who: For students who have taken the Horticulture class, are eager to learn and want to make money this summer! 

What: Students work alongside a mentor at locations such as a private estate, horticulture company or non-profit community group. Recent placements have been with large Ocean Drive area estates, City of Newport, TJ Brown, Bourne Green, Paul Roderick and St. John church. Pay typically starts at $10.00/hour and goes up from there.

How: To apply, complete the application (attached) and submit to Ms. Clarke’s INBOX outside NACTC room 916 by June 14th. Applications can also be scanned and emailed to Ms. Clarke @ kerryclarke@npsri.net.
