NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

■ National Honor Society, Class of 2019:  First mandatory meeting is this Friday, September 14, from 2:00-2:30 pm in room 106.

FRESHMAN

■ Any Freshman who have not received their Chromebook, please stop by the main office.

■ Photo Day is this Thursday - see attached for flyer/order form

This is National Suicide Prevention Week.  Throughout the week we will share strategies you can do to help connect a friend who might be struggling emotionally.

*Strategy #1-  Be the One to ASK.  If you are concerned about a friend, just ask them "Are you okay?"  Just by asking the question you are sending a message that you care. 

*Strategy #2 - Be the One to Keep a Friend Safe.  This means telling an adult in school or outside of school as soon as you hear that your friend is thinking about suicide.  Don't keep it to yourself.  In school you can tell the Principal, a Teacher, a Guidance Counselor, the School Nurse, the School Social Worker, the Student Assistance Counselor.  Take all warning signs seriously.  You can save a life by telling an adult.
