Day 6

CLASS ELECTIONS

Results are in for the sophomore and junior class elections and the results are as follows: 

For the sophomores: President- Anna Murphy, Vice President- Kayleigh Mosher, Secretary-Michael Phelps and Treasurer- Alexandra Cranson. 

For the junior: President- Kenzie Palmer, Vice President- Zobida Zia, Secretary- Anna Bodycoat, Treasurer-Maeve Newsome, Prom Committee- Avery Whitaker.  Congratulations to those elected. 

The senior class will have elections next Wednesday, September 26th in the auditorium between 12:23 -1:10. Candidates for office should prepare a campaign speech to present to the senior class during that time.

NEWPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL

■ Do you want to help others? Join the Newport Community School's Community Involvement Club to learn the benefits of volunteering in the community. Come for the informational meeting on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 2pm in the cafeteria.  The first meeting will be on Thursday September 27, 2018 at 2pm. Transportation provided home at 4pm. See Ms. Arruda for more information! 

FRESHMAN

■ Any Freshman who have not received their Chromebook, please stop by the main office.

SPORTS NEWS

■ There will be a quick meeting for any boy interested in playing lacrosse for Rogers immediately after school in the cafeteria on Tuesday, September 25th.  This is for returning players and any potential new players.

■ Congratulations to our Boy’s Outdoor Track & Field Coach Andrew Martucci  for being named The NFHS Coaches Association 2018 RI Boys Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year. Thank you Coach Martucci for your dedication!

■ This evening the football team is at home taking on Johnston beginning at 7pm. As a reminder all Rogers students are free and must have been in school! Admission for all others is $5. Those 12 & younger are also free but must be accompanied by a paid adult. As always please leave your backpacks, bicycles, skateboards and all animals at home. Outside food & beverages are also prohibited. Tonight’s game can also be heard live on WADK.com
