■The results of the senior class elections are as follows: Treasurer- Jack Gomes, Secretary- Josephine Carwile-Ridnour, Vice President- Annika Murphy, and President- Ben Pratt. Thank you to all who campaigned and spoke in front of the class yesterday. All candidates carried themselves with dignity and respect.


■ Rogers High School, you do not want to miss out! Do not forget to buy your raffle tickets for either a Fall themed raffle basket which includes pumpkin carving tools, baking needs for your holiday treats, your favorite holiday candle scents, and lots of tasty candy or a $50 Sardellas Italian Restaurant gift card or a Newport Sweet Shop chocolate basket! You can purchase your tickets for $1 per ticket or $5 for 8 from any of your sophomore class officers or advisors during school Thursday, September 27th through Thursday, September 4th. Tickets will also be available for purchase at open house on Thursday, September 27th.”


■ Are you interested in joining us on October 13th from 10am to 2pm for the Best Buddies friendship walk of 2018 at McCoy Stadium.  If you’re interested, please see team captain Jamel Wills in 3rd lunch today, tomorrow and all next week to register for the walk.  Also don’t miss a big opportunity as Jamel Wills will give his best buddies ambassador speech with a few other ambassadors. Come show your support for the ambassadors as they give their incredible speeches


■ Attention Staff and Students:  The annual flu clinic will be held on Wednesday, October 24th from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM in Room 307.  PLEASE register online as soon as possible at  There are also forms in the nurse’s office.


■ Good morning Rogers students: Word is out.  Students want to have input into how their school runs.  This just a gentle reminder that there is another informational meeting after school today in room 307, from 2:15 – 2:45pm.  We hope to see you there!   Any questions please speak directly with Mr. Kimes, room 406.


■ Newport Community School will run today after school in the library! Come get your homework or makeup work done. Transportation provided home at 4pm. 

Interested in becoming a CNA? See Ms. Dugan in the NCS office for more information! Class limited to 10 students. 


■ The Rogers High School Hydro Robotics Team is looking for new crew members. If the underwater world and robotics have ever interested you, please stop by room 212 and speak to Mr. Dickison to see what all the fun is about.  Meetings are Tuesday after school!


■ Picture retakes will be tomorrow.   Retakes are for students who missed picture day or students who received photos that would like a retake.  If you would like a retake for pictures that were sent home please bring them back to the photographer with a $5 processing fee and she will retake your picture tomorrow.  Retakes on student ID’s will not be taken unless the student is purchasing a package.


■ Rogers High School will hold their Open House tonight from 5 to 7pm. There will be a parent/guardian meet and greet presentation in the auditorium from 5:00 to 5:30 than parent/guardian may proceed to classrooms.

We have some great presentations and initiatives happening. We will discuss NEASC, Vision of the Graduate, Vaping Parent Presentation and PTO recruiting. We will also have a "Vision of the Graduate" activity for families just outside of the Gymnasium, in front of the main office we will have a PTO sign up table and in the cafeteria we will be setting up Chromebooks in order for families to complete a NEASC Survey. Finally, we will be having the Vaping presentation in the library (see attached for flyer)


■ La escuela secundaria Rogers High School celebrará su jornada de puertas abiertas el 27 de Septiembre de 5:00 a 7:00 PM. Habrá una reunión de padres/tutores para saludar en el auditorio. Luego de 5:00 a 5:30 de la tarde  los padres/tutores pueden ir a los salones de clases.

Tenemos algunas grandes presentaciones e iniciativas que sucederán esa noche. Hablaremos de NEASC, visión para graduarse, vaping presentación de padres y reclutamiento de PTO. También tendremos una actividad de "visión de los graduados" para las familias que están justo afuera del gimnasio, frente a la oficina principal tendremos una mesa de inscripción de PTO y en la cafetería estaremos configurando Chromebooks para que las familias completen una encuesta de NEASC. Finalmente, tendremos la presentación de Vaping en la biblioteca.
