Day 2

SPIRIT WEEK

■ RHS Spirit Week starts this Friday with Flag Day.  Then Tuesday, after our long weekend, it is Costume Day.  Wednesday and Thursday, next week, we can show Class Spirit:  Celebrate first with Theme Day and then Class Color Day.  We all dress in Red and Black on Friday for the pep rally and homecoming activities.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

■ Any student who is academically eligible to apply for membership in the National Honor Society: Your completed applications are due no later than Tuesday, October 9, 2018 by 2:30 PM. Please bring applications and required paperwork to Mrs. Kimes in room 106.                           

■ Current members of the National Honor Society (Class of 2019): Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 9 at 2:05 pm in room 106. We also have one scheduled for Friday, November 9 at 2:05 pm.

SMILE PROGRAM

■ The SMILE Program will meet in the Library after school today. 

SKILLS USA

■ Skills USA is meeting in room 905 after school today, October 3rd.  Come join the team!

COLLEGE ADVISOR NEWS

■ FAFSA night at Rogers will be held Wednesday ,October 10th, at 6pm in the Library. Complete the financial aid application for all schools before it's too late!  See Miss D with questions. 

■ Need help with the Common App? Miss D is holding a "How to make your Common App Less Common" workshop in the library right after school today,Wednesday, 10/3. 

MOCK TRIAL

■ The Mock Trial team will meet at Hibernian Hall at 2:15, today, Wednesday October 3. The meeting will last approximately one hour.

CLASS OF 2019

■ Seniors, the class of 2019 is selling class shirts for $25.  Please see Ani Murphy to purchase shirts before this Thursday, October 4th.

CLASS OF 2020

■ The Junior Class will be making pep rally posters Thursday after school in Room 406.  Juniors, grab some supplies and come join the fun."

CLASS OF 2021

■ Do not forget to buy your raffle tickets for either a Fall themed raffle basket which includes pumpkin carving tools, baking needs for your holiday treats, your favorite holiday candle scents, and lots of tasty candy or a $50 Sardellas Italian Restaurant gift card or a Newport Sweet Shop chocolate basket!  You can purchase your tickets for $1 per ticket or $5 for 8 from any of your sophomore class officers or advisors during school through this Thursday, October 4th.

NEWPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL

■ Newport Community School will run in the library 2-4 today after school. Come get your homework and make up work done! 


■ There will be NO Newport Community School and NO Late bus on Thursday. Take your normal transportation home.
