Day 1

POWERPUFF FOOTBALL GAME

■ School spirit was on full blast last night as the Lady Vikings battled each other in a class versus class game of football. The sophomores narrowly won over the juniors in a 6-6 tie that was broken by a coin toss. Both classes played well with some great plays by Kenzie Palmer, Shaynese Butler, K'yana Howard, and Catherine Caparas. The seniors championed over the freshman with a 14-0 win. In the final game the sophomores outplayed the seniors to win 12-6. Seniors Izzy Booth, Aubrey Baker, Ani Murphy and Destiny Booker player well. Michaela Matthews scored the senior's touchdown with a 60+ yard run. All classes showed great sportsmanship and Viking Pride. 

COLLEGE ADVISOR NEWS

■ SAT prep is being offered for free, every Tuesday from 2-3:30 in room 200. You don't need to sign up but you do need to show up! See Miss D with questions. 

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT CLUB

■ There will be a Community Involvement club meeting today at 2 pm in the cafeteria. 

NEWPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL

■ Newport Community School will run in the library after school today 2-4. Transportation home provided. 

HOMECOMING DANCE

■The Homecoming Dance will be held in Rogers Gymnasium from 7-10 pm this Saturday, October 13th. Tickets are $10 per person and can be bought during school lunches from class officers. Tickets will not be sold at the door so please purchase your tickets before tomorrow.
