Day 3

DRIVER’S ED COURSE

■ The next available driver’s education class through the Newport County Driving School starts on October 26^th.  Interested students should be at least 15 years 10 months in age to start these classes.  Registration packets can be found in the main office.                                      

SKILLS USA

■ Skills USA is meeting today in room 905 right after school to discuss upcoming field trip and shirts for the chapter. Come join us if interested!!

NEWPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL

■ Newport Community School will run in the library today from 2-4pm. Come get your homework or make up work done!

SENIORS

■ Attention seniors: resumes and essays are due next month! Any questions about senior project see Ms. Dugan. 

■ Seniors today after school come to the library for a resume workshop. See Ms. Dugan or Miss D for more information!

COLLEGE ADVISOR NEWS

■ SAT prep is being offered for free, every Tuesday from 2-3:30 in room 200. You don't need to sign up but you do need to show up! See Miss D with questions. 

RED RIBBON WEEK

■ Today is the start of Red Ribbon Week in schools across America.  This national campaign is a way for people and communities to unite and take a stand against drugs.  The theme for this year's campaign is:  Life is your journey, Travel drug free!  To celebrate Red Ribbon Week (October 23-31) next Monday, October 29th is Wear Red Day at RHS.  Show your support & wear red!

FLU CLINIC

■ Attention all Staff and Students:  The annual flu clinic will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, October 24th from 7:30 AM-9:30 AM in Room 307.  PLEASE register online as soon as possible at www.schoolflu.com.   There are also forms in the nurse’s office. 

JROTC

■ All Cadets must report to the room above JROTC by 8am this Thursday, October 25^th for the inspection and   Class A uniform must be worn.  Please make sure if your uniform is stored in JROTC, to bring it home and be ready and dressed in your uniform before school.  You will not be able to change down in ROTC that morning.

SPORTS

■ This afternoon at 3:30 the girls tennis team will host Pilgrim in a quarterfinal playoff match at the 'Pop Flack' courts, located between CVS and the Newport Public Library.  Stop up and support our ladies.
