Day 4

IMPACT AID FORMS

■ Impact Aid forms were sent home for parent/guardian to review and sign.  Even if you are not a military family, please sign, date and return the form to the main office by October 31st.

MOCK TRIAL

■ The Mock Trial Team will meet today at Hibernian Hall at 2:15.

FLU CLINIC

■ Attention all Staff and Students:  The annual flu clinic is today from 7:30 AM-9:30 AM in Room 307. 

SMILE PROGRAM

■ SMILE is cancelled for today. SMILE will meet next on Monday, Oct 29th

DRIVER’S ED COURSE

■ The next available driver’s education class through the Newport County Driving School starts on October 26th.  Interested students should be at least 15 years 10 months in age to start these classes.  Registration packets can be found in the main office.                              

STUDENT COUNCIL

■ Rogers Students, Congratulations.  Yesterday after school your student council began to take shape.  A mission statement was adopted and plans for whole student body representation are under way.  Check your emails please for meeting notes and plans for next steps.

NEWPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOL

■ Newport Community School will run in the library today from 2-4pm. Come get your homework or make up work done!

RED RIBBON WEEK

■ Red Ribbon week message- The purpose of Red Ribbon Week is to present a visible commitment to living a safe, healthy, and drug free life.  The campaign is designed to create awareness concerning the problems related to the use of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs, and to support the decision to live a drug free lifestyle.  Reminder RHS:  Were Red Day is Monday October 29th.  Show your support and wear red!

JROTC

■ All Cadets must report to the room above JROTC by 8am tomorrow, Thursday, October 25th for the inspection and   Class A uniform must be worn.  Please make sure if your uniform is stored in JROTC, to bring it home and be ready and dressed in your uniform before school.  You will not be able to change down in ROTC that morning.

SPORTS

■ The girls tennis team was rescheduled for this afternoon at 3:30 and will host Pilgrim in a quarterfinal playoff match at the 'Pop Flack' courts, located between CVS and the Newport Public Library.  Stop up and support our ladies!
