Day 4


■Tuesday, November 20th,  is our first blood drive of the year.  Anyone age 16 and up can donate. 1 donation can help 3 patients in our community!  To donate Blood you must be: 16 year olds must weigh 130 lbs or more and need parental consent; 17 year olds must weigh at least 110 lbs or more.  All must be in general good health.

Signups will be held during all lunches today and Wednesday.  See Mrs. Bagley if you have any questions.


■ Skills USA is meeting right after school today in room 905. Anyone interested in joining is welcome to attend!


■ There is an NHS Induction Ceremony rehearsal today from 2-4pm in the RHS auditorium for Class of 2019 members only.

■ On Thursday, November 15th, from 1-2pm in the RHS auditorium, there is a full rehearsal for the NHS Induction Ceremony. Both Class of 2019 NHS members and Inductees (Class of 2020) are attending this rehearsal.

■ Lastly, our NHS Induction Ceremony is Thursday, November 15th at 5:30pm in the RHS auditorium.  All are welcome to join!


■ Newport Community School will run in the library today 2-4pm. Come get your homework done! 


■ Seniors: resumes and essays are due this FRIDAY 11/16. Hard copies, electronic copies or upload to the google classroom.  Any questions see Ms. Dugan or Ms. Fountain. 


■ A parent's meeting is set for RMR Hockey tomorrow, Wednesday, November 14th at 6:00 pm at Middletown High School.  This is an important meeting, especially for new player parents.  Our new coach will be introduced, you will hear from the school's athletic directors and the RMR Boosters Board will go over what is needed and expected for this upcoming season.

■ Thursday night come out and support our volleyball team as they host Narragansett in the state semifinals! The game begins at 6pm, $5 admission will be charged but a Rogers school ID gets you in for free!

■ Any girls interested in getting ready for the indoor track season can meet today and Thursday after school in the gym hallway for a pre-season captain's practice from 2-3pm.

■Tomorrow, November 14th, there will be a meeting for any girl interested in trying out for the girls basketball team. The meeting will be immediately after school in the Health room (located between the gym and cafeteria).

■ Winter cheerleading try-outs will be held today and tomorrow. Attendance at both is expected!  All those trying out for the squad should come dressed ready to participate in appropriate athletic wear, including sneakers. If you have questions contact Coach Carol Mureddu at rhscheer1115@gmail.com

■ Registration is now open for all Winter AND Spring sports!

Physicals must be current (valid for 13 months from the date of exam) and may be uploaded or dropped off at Rogers. Students new to Rogers or new to athletics must fill out a RIIL Assumption of Risk form. This form must be notarized and the original dropped off at Rogers.
