■ The Mock Trial Team will meet at the Hibernian Hall at 2:15 tomorrow, January 9th, and Thursday, January 10th.

■ The Class of 2019 is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner next Tuesday, January 15th at 6:30 pm at the Newport Boys and Girls Club. The cost is $10 per person and tickets can be bought at the door. Please RSVP to Ms Stump via email (elizabethstump@npsri.net) or let the senior class officers, Ben Pratt, Ani Murphy, Jack Gomes, or Josephine Carwile-Ridnour know if you plan to attend.  Click for Flyer

■There will be a meeting for the class of 2021 on Wednesday, January 9th immediately after school in room 106. Anyone and everyone is invited to attend in order to finalize and start several fundraising efforts for the class of 2021.”

■ Rogers Alumni Day will be taking place this Thursday from 7:30-10:00am. Juniors and Seniors will have the opportunity to network and learn from former Rogers Students about their post secondary journeys. This is being put together by College Advisor Marisa DeCollibus and Science Teacher Emily Zilly. Food has also been generously donated by the Alumni Association and NPEF. 

■ Newport Community School will run in the library today. Come get your homework and make up work done!

■ There will be a 30 to 45 minute student council meeting today in Mr. Corr's room after school. Contact Josephine or Ani for information.

■ The Rogers Theatre Company is pleased to announce that auditions for our spring Musical, Godspell will take place today in the RHS auditorium at 6:30. Auditions are open to any student at Rogers and everyone is encouraged to attend. All students auditioning will be asked to read a prepared scene from the show and sing a small section of a song. Students interested in larger or lead roles should be prepared to sing a song from the show. If you cannot make it to either time or have further questions please see Mr. Corr in room 100.   Hope to see you there.

■ Are you interested in traveling to a sunny Mediterranean country for spring break 2020? If you are, come to room 118 after school today for a brief organizational meeting.  Members of the Class of 2020 are planning a trip to Greece for April 2020.  Any student is welcome to attend, regardless of their grade.

■ NACTC Info Night is tomorrow, January 9th from 5:30pm - 7:00pm.  Learn about our award-winning career pathways. You will have the opportunity to meet teachers, tour the facility and hear alumni success stories. Flyer

■ There will be a home health care / facility training course starting the week of January 14th! This class is a Pre-CNA course offered free to RHS students. Click for FLYER
