Project Purple and National Drug & Alcohol Week
■ Due to mid-year exams RHS will be celebrating Project Purple and National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week from today Monday, January 14th thru Friday, January 25, 2019.

Herren's Project Purple empowers youth and the community to make a difference.  Going purple gives students & the community motivation and support as they embrace a message of making healthy life choices, and that they do not need drugs & alcohol to meet life's challenges.

National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week is a national health observance designed to educate youth with facts about the effects of drugs & alcohol on their brain, body, and behavior.

Starting today, Monday, January 14th thru Thursday, January 17th, 2019 there will be a drug & alcohol fact of the day on the announcements.  Each day in the cafeteria during the lunch periods Mrs. Ruth will be manning a table with computers where students will be able to take the drug & alcohol fact challenge.  The challenge is available in both English and Spanish.  Those students who complete the challenge will be eligible for a raffle to win Project Purple sweatshirts, t-shirts, and other gear.  Raffle winners will be announced Friday January 18th.  Tuesday January 22 is Wear Purple Day at RHS.  Everyone is encouraged to participate!

01/14/19 Fact of the Day
