The JROTC Cadets of Rogers High School celebrated National Civics Day on October 27, 2022 with a field trip to the Newport Artillery Museum.
LTC Ret. Bill Farrell discussed the importance of preserving our freedoms and democratic institutions. JROTC Cadets not only study our Nation’s great history, they are also helping to shape our future democracy as young citizens and voters.
In preparation for the visit, Viking Seniors Jack Sigler and Matt Mullins briefed Rogers High School students on the US Naval Academy admissions process, career opportunities, and the call to serve our great Nation. Retired Navy CAPTs Stu Craig and Carlos Sotomayor also presented and answered questions.
