Key Club

Key Club is a student-led, high school organization focused on serving the community. RHS's Key Club takes part in service projects that focus on giving back to our school and island community as a whole. Key Club encourages student leadership with its members organizing and running their own service projects with support from their advisors. We also work in tandem with the Newport Kiwanis Organization and Salve’s Circle K Club.

Examples of our 2021-2022 projects include: 

  • Worked with Salve Circle K Club to make meals for residents at the McKinney Shelter

  • Fundraised, purchased, and distributed bags of personal care items for McKinley Shelter and Lucy’s Hearth

  • Sent birthday cards to a Tuskegee Airman veteran in RI

  • Assembled birthday party decorations for  Confetti Foundation

  • Assisted with the Easter egg hunt at Pell School

  • Sponsored 3 children at Looking Upwards for holiday gifts

  • Created holiday cards for Blenheim nursing home and sent Valentine's Day cards to residents at Village House Nursing Home

  • Collected over 800 food items and $300 for the annual Butler Basketball Club Turkey Giveaway and assisted with distribution
