Newport Public Schools was selected this year to be honored by The Rhode Island Alliance For Arts In Education.
Each school in our district was asked to gift student works of art which would then become a part of the State of Rhode Island Gift of Art permanent collection. Rogers was asked to gift three works.
Jessica Gomez, Alex Parker and Makalenani Lui represented Rogers High School for their gift of art to the state of Rhode Island.
Beatrix Barbosa, Adrian Guitierrez, Majula Njie, Rene Rodriguez, Aspen Pearson, Amaiya Beltre, Bowie Von Doom and Emma Hoag also have artwork on display.
