Newport Area Career and Technical Center proudly announces its remarkable achievements in the recently concluded National Cyber League (NCL) season. The results reflect the dedication, skill, and exceptional talent of our students in the realm of cybersecurity.
According to Cyber Skyline, âStudents had to identify hackers from forensic data, pentest & audit vulnerable websites, recover from ransomware attacks, and more. Out of over 100 competing high schools in the National Cyber League Power Rankings, Newport Area Career and Technical Center clinched an impressive 14th position, solidifying its standing as one of the leading cybersecurity high school programs in the country.
In the highly competitive Team Event, Newport Area Career and Technical Center demonstrated unparalleled teamwork and expertise, securing the 18th and 25th positions out of a remarkable 647 participating teams. This outstanding performance underscores our commitment to collaborative excellence in tackling cybersecurity challenges.
Furthermore, Newport Area Career and Technical Center celebrates the outstanding individual achievements of its students, with seven participants ranking among the top 100 out of 1210 competitors in the individual event. Their exceptional skills and perseverance propelled them to notable positions, with Amadeus Witt reaching a commendable peak at 47th place.
The National Cyber League is a nationwide competition that attracts top talent from educational institutions across the country.
