URI Writing 104

I am very excited to start the school year with another section of Writing 104 - the Concurrent Enrollment Course with the University of Rhode Island.

As a 2001 graduate of URI, this course holds a very special place in my heart.  It is a dream come true for me to be a professor for my alma mater, even if it is only an affiliate professor - baby steps.

Past students have contacted me and shared just how much WRT 104 has prepared them for their first year of college.  I truly try to give each and every student that college course experience, as if they were taking this class on campus.  Preparing them for what lies ahead is my ultimate goal.

Below is a link to the URI WRT 104 @ Rogers Website.  Here you can find all of the information you may need about the class:  Syllabus, Badge / Assignment Descriptions, Etc.  Please take a look.

With COVID-19 leaving us with some uncertainty, I can imagine that there may be some modifications to our class - although the WRT 104 curriculum is web-based, and may work nicely in a distance leaning format.  We will just see how it goes and take it day by day.

The text we use is available for purchase through Amazon, a link for the text is below.  If a student wishes to have their own copy for highlighting and taking notes, it is recommended that they purchase their own copy prior to the start of the school year.  There will be a digital copy posted for assigned readings.
