Thompson Middle School Daily Physical Education Rubric

 

Level Five

1.      Student is prepared in proper physical education attire. This attire will be: soft-soled athletic style shoes that will be secured (no open toed or elevated heel shoe), socks, shorts and or athletic pants (no short shorts, no school athletic uniforms) shirt (logos must follow school code.)

2.      Full participation to the student’s best ability all the time

3.      Demonstrate respect to self, teachers, and others by following the rules of the activity and school rules.  Show good sportsmanship!

4.       Student shows a positive attitude while being/acting as a role model for other students.

 

Level Four

Level Three

1.      Student is prepared, but participates to the best of their ability less than half of the class period time.

OR

2.      Student is unprepared, but has proper footwear and is participating at the Level Five standard.

3.       Demonstrate respect to self, teachers, and others by following the rules of the activity and school rules.  Show good sportsmanship!

 

Level Two

1.      Student is prepared, but lacks in effort to participate to the best of their ability.

OR

2.      Student is unprepared, but has proper footwear and is participating at a Level Four standard.

3.       Demonstrate respect to self, teachers, and others by following the rules of the activity and school rules.  Show good sportsmanship!

 

Level One

Not achieving at any other level.  Typically this student possess some or all of the following qualities: unprepared, has a poor attitude towards the class, is consistently disruptive, and refuses to participate or put any effort forward.
