Welcome to Thompson Middle School Sports
**** Fall 2025 - We have a new athletic registration system. All athletes must be registered prior to any practice or team activity. ***
Sports registration info and instructions (read first):
All athletes wanting to participate in interscholastic athletics during any season, must have the following completed before the first day of practice. Once completed, it is good for the entire school year.
1. Online Registration: Each season athletes and parents must register for the sport in which the student will be participating. This will complete the Parent Permission, and Emergency Contact Information. Online Registration Link Here
2. Physical: A CURRENT athletic physical completely filled out, dated, and signed by your physician. A physical is considered current, if it is within the last twelve months.
3. Rhode Island Interscholastic League Risk Form: Each student needs this RIIL form filled out and notarized once in their Middle School Career (and once again in High School). Blank forms will be linked in the registration, or available at the school.
Academic and Behavior Standards
Students must maintain grades above a D in order to participate in school athletics.
Athletes are representatives of Thompson Middle School. Behavior is expected to be exemplary in school, out of school, during games, and on the training grounds.
