My name is Michael Browner, Jr. and I have taught grade 7 social studies at Thompson since September 1998.  I am a native of Newport where I attended three schools: Sheffield (K-5), Thompson (6-8) and Rogers (9-12).  I am a graduate of Rhode Island College where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and History in 1998.  I also earned a Master of Education degree in School Administration from RIC in 2004.  I am in my 16th year at Thompson where I continue to teach and mentor some of the greatest students in Rhode Island.
