Thompson NOSOLO Team Building Assembly

All Thompson Middle School students in grades 5-8 recently participated in the first NOSOLO Team Building Assembly of the year. NOSOLO Ambassador, Newport Hospital’s Dr. Marina Zambrotta, spoke with the students about the importance of kindness and the need to have a community in order to reach their goals. The NOSOLO message, "Never Forget How Many People Truly Have Your Back. Lean on Them. Check on Them" was reinforced while students practiced working with and leaning on members of their communities in order to complete Team Building challenges. Teams of students in Grades 5 and 6 were challenged with building the "Longest Paper Chain Link" in 8 minutes, while students in grades 7 and 8 were challenged with building 8 versions of "Kindness Towers" without using their hands. A good time was had by all, while students experienced the value of working as a team within a community of support. Principal Browner also spoke with the students about the value of being present and participating in our TMS community. Great job Warriors!
