Parents, Guardians, Staff, and Students:

In light of recent incidents at Rogers, the Newport Police Department is conducting a thorough investigation into the possibility of any criminal offenses that may have occurred.

Separate from that investigation, the Newport School Committee voted unanimously to engage the services of Stephen O’Donnell to conduct an independent investigation. Mr. O’Donnell has been tasked with thoroughly reviewing all issues that may have contributed to the events that took place.

To ensure we gather accurate and complete information, we are asking any student, parent/guardian, or staff member who has relevant information or who witnessed specific incidents to please come forward. Your report will remain confidential in accordance with Rhode Island law.

You will have the option to speak with Rebecca Bolan, Vice Chair (beckybolan16@gmail.com) or you may also speak directly with Mr. O’Donnell (401.855.1665, Steveod@cox.net), our investigator. These conversations can remain anonymous, and you may choose to speak either remotely (off campus) or in person.
