NACTC Junior Landon Pine Competes In SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference

This past week, junior Landon Pine travelled to the SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. There, he competed against the top 49 Advertising & Design high school students in the nation. It was a full week of hours-long contests where students were tested on their knowledge of SkillsUSA, Advertising, Design and Graphic Design. Their hands-on skills were tested as they were required to come up with a branding campaign on the spot for a fictitious company, creating a logo, advertisement, two Instagram ads, a sticker, water bottle design and more. The hours were long, the competition was intense and he ended 17th in the country out of 50. It was a wonderful trip for Landon and he gained not only new skills and knowledge of the Ad Design world, he also grew his network of fellow graphic designers and future connections.

Sus habilidades prĂĄcticas se pusieron a prueba, ya que tuvieron que idear una campaĂąa de marca en el momento para una empresa ficticia, creando un logo, un anuncio, dos anuncios en Instagram, una pegatina, un diseĂąo de botella de agua y mĂĄs. Las horas fueron largas, la competiciĂłn intensa y terminĂł 17Âş en el paĂ­s de 50.
