My name is Stacey Lyon, and I teach Library and Technology to students here at the Pell School.

Library Classes are held once a week. Technology classes usually are held once a week every 1st and 3rd, or 2nd and 4th quarters.

Library Info for Students and Parents

HOURS:  We are open during regular school hours (8:30am-3:00pm) and we follow the school calendar for days open and closed.  The calendar can be found on our website: npsri.net.  Our online resources, available through Destiny and SORA, our online Ebook, Audio book and Magazine consortuim, Destin are open 24/7. 

POLICIES:  Our library follows both school wide policies NPS Policy 5335 Students-Administrative Policies - Internet Policies and our library policy:  School Instructional Materials

As a member of LORI, we also follow the :RILINK INTERLIBRARY LOAN POLICY (ILL)

DONATIONS:  We gladly accept donated books that are in a new or gently used condition, but reserve the right to "gift" books that are not needed in our collection to our student run Donate and Rotate library.  These books are intended to be read, returned, exchanged, or kept by our students so that we ensure every child has a book they can take home and keep "for their very own".  

LENDING AND FINES: As a school library, we lend books for a period of one week to STUDENTS (they are expected to check out during their scheduled library class, and return books the next class);  we do not charge "Fines".  If a book is permanently lost or damaged beyond repair,  the full cost of a replacement copy will be requested.  FACULTY and PARENTS may borrow books for an extended time depending on the need.  Please feel free to contact your librarians if you have questions.
