Our reading series is Into Reading which incorporates phonics and writing into the program.  Along with this reading series, I also have reading groups which I use for children to read texts on their own reading levels.  Please note the children are to meet the benchmark of a Level I/J by June.

In math, our series is called I-Ready.  It has 18 units throughout the year to teach core concepts for first graders.

In Social Studies, the children will learn about our City of Newport, the country of Japan, and landmarks/symbols within the U.S.

In Science, the children will learn about sound/light, air/weather, and Structures of Life.
