Meet the Teacher
My name is Dale Blaess. I was born and raised in Rhode Island. I married a wonderful man 35 years ago. We left RI to pursue a life in the US Army. We have two wonderful children. Michael is 33 and is in the US Air Force. He is married and they have a one year old daughter. Ashley is 30 and works for the Air Force. We were lucky to live in Washington, Georgia, and Hawaii. I went to school at the University of Columbus in Georgia. I received my bachelors in early childhood and elementary education at the University. I taught for one year in Georgia before the Army brought us to Hawaii. I taught in Hawaii for three years before the Army brought us back to RI. I've been teaching in Newport for 12 years. I received my master's degree in literacy a few years ago at Roger Williams University, and now I am also an adjunct professor there. I have also published Brainquest for Birth through Kindergarten and the new Star Wars Workbooks for Preschool and Kindergarten.
