Hello!  My name is Mr. Mauk.  I have been teaching music in Newport since 2001.  Currently, I teach general music classes in grades Kindergarten through 4th and direct the Pell Champions Chorus.  I have also directed the bands and chorus at Thompson and strings at Cranston-Calvert and Underwood.  I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in Indiana, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education.  When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter and playing trumpet.
