Newport Public Schools are seeing a growing population of multilingual learners (MLL), and that means giving our dedicated teachers the resources they need to educate our MLL students and meet them where they are. Even though at some levels the numbers of students may be the same, the need for the support is greater because of the many more students having less English speaking/reading/writing skills. Thatâs why we were thankful to welcome Seidlitz Coaching, who visited last week for one of four scheduled MLL training sessions for our MLL certified teachers.

Las Escuelas PĂşblicas de Newport estĂĄn viendo una poblaciĂłn creciente de estudiantes multilingĂźes (MLL), y eso significa brindarles a nuestros dedicados maestros los recursos que necesitan para educar a nuestros estudiantes de MLL y encontrarlos donde estĂŠn. Aunque en algunos niveles el nĂşmero de estudiantes puede ser el mismo, la necesidad de apoyo es mayor debido a que muchos mĂĄs estudiantes tienen menos habilidades para hablar, leer y escribir en inglĂŠs.
