Newport Public Schools are seeing a growing population of multilingual learners (MLL), and that means giving our dedicated teachers the resources they need to educate our MLL students and meet them where they are. Even though at some levels the numbers of students may be the same, the need for the support is greater because of the many more students having less English speaking/reading/writing skills. That’s why we were thankful to welcome Seidlitz Coaching, who visited last week for one of four scheduled MLL training sessions for our MLL certified teachers.

Las Escuelas Públicas de Newport están viendo una población creciente de estudiantes multilingües (MLL), y eso significa brindarles a nuestros dedicados maestros los recursos que necesitan para educar a nuestros estudiantes de MLL y encontrarlos donde estén. Aunque en algunos niveles el número de estudiantes puede ser el mismo, la necesidad de apoyo es mayor debido a que muchos más estudiantes tienen menos habilidades para hablar, leer y escribir en inglés. Es por eso que agradecimos darle la bienvenida a Seidlitz Coaching, quien nos visitó la semana pasada para una de las cuatro sesiones de capacitación de MLL programadas para nuestros maestros certificados de MLL.
