Dear Families,
Welcome to first grade at Pell School. My name is Ms. Menas and I will be your child’s first grade teacher this year. We are looking forward to a great school year. This year will again look very different from typical years, but I am committed to creating a safe and fun learning environment for your child.

We can’t wait for our first day of school on Wednesday, September 8th. Please help your child get ready for school by doing the following:
Put your child’s red tag (for dismissal) on their backpack. You should have received this in your teacher letter envelope.
Please email me and let me know how your child will be getting dismissed each day (bus #, car, walker, Champion Child Care, MLK, TLC etc.) Please try to keep this as consistent as possible!
If you purchased any school supplies, they can be sent in at any time. There is no need to stuff your child’s backpack with everything on the first day!
Please respond to this email with a hello and how your child will be getting home from school each day.
We can’t mask our excitement for first grade!
