Over the last year, our entire Newport Public Schools team has been working collaboratively to develop a new strategic plan that will guide learning in our district over the next several years. Our new strategic plan has four key principles:
Champion rigorous and equitable instruction
Cultivate a safe and inclusive culture
Strengthen family and community partnerships
Forge district-wide coherence (decision making, curriculum implementation, etc.)
By including these priorities in our schools and classrooms every day we will help build these attributes of success in our students to realize the Portrait of a Graduate we have for all our Newport Public School students – CORE: Career and College Readiness; Ownership and Persistence; Real World Responsibility; and Emerging Leadership.
