Ronald Gonsalves, Jr., CPA, MBA - Executive Director of Administration & Finance
Primary responsibilities of my job entail preparing and administering the school department general fund operating budget, including overseeing the completion of the final school committee annual operating budget as well as preparing the necessary financial reports for monthly school committee meetings. I work closely with the Student Services department to ensure accurate projections and reports of special education revenues and expenditures. I attend School Committee meetings, budget meetings, and budget workshops as well as a variety of other financial and non-financial meetings as they relate to school business operations throughout the year. Every year I facilitate the auditing of school department expenditures by an independent auditing firm as well as federal and state auditors.
I also directly supervise the daily operations of the human resources department, transportation services, food service operations, non-public textbook program as well as payroll and purchasing functions. This work includes providing oversight and monitoring of all business office functions including all revenue funds, fixed asset inventory, accounts payable and accounts receivable. I participate as an integral part of the negotiations for insurance contracts for health, dental and group life insurance contracts as well as serve as the School Department Risk Manager on all insurance matters. I provide oversight and administration of policies and procedures as necessary to support the operations of the Administration and Finance function.
