Rogers Students Complete Program & Earn Certified Nursing Assistant Certification

Just before the holiday break, a group of Rogers High School students successfully completed their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program through the Newport Community School’s Adult Education program (AIALC). Congratulations to Giabrielle Woolery, Clelian Palacious-Rivas, Sophia Rehman, Laila Hekking, and Jayla Rochon! These students worked diligently to master the skills and knowledge required to earn their CNA certification, a significant milestone that opens the door to meaningful careers in healthcare. Their dedication and perseverance are truly inspiring, and we are proud to see them achieve this professional accomplishment while still in high school.

This achievement also highlights the strength of the partnership between Newport Public Schools, Rogers High School and Newport Community School providing students with innovative, career-focused learning opportunities that prepare them for both college and the workforce. Special thanks to Karl Magner, our RHS Site Program Coordinator for coordinating the program and Becky Minus, our Certified Nursing Instructor, for guiding and supporting these students every step of the way.
